Important Notice – Kennel Viewings CLOSED due to extreme weather (Mon 22nd - Fri 26th June 2026

Due to the extreme temperatures forecast this week (22nd -26th June 2026), both our Birmingham and Wolverhampton centres will be closed to kennel viewings and walk-in visits to the kennels.

The welfare of our dogs is always our top priority, and during periods of very hot weather it is important that they can remain as calm, rested and comfortable as possible. Reducing footfall around the kennels will help minimise stress and allow our team to focus on keeping the dogs cool throughout the day.

Travel Update – Road Closures Near Our Birmingham Centre

If you are planning a visit to our Birmingham Centre/Vet Clinic, please be aware of upcoming bridge repair works being carried out by National Highways near the M42 (Junction 6). These may affect your journey from Hampton-in-Arden, the NEC or Birmingham Airport.

Bridge Closures (from 22 September 2025):

Catherine de Barnes Lane South bridge (B4438) – closed to vehicles until 14 November 2025
Solihull Road bridge (B4102) – closed to vehicles until late January 2026 (with a temporary reopening for 2 weeks over Christmas 🎄)

Both bridges remain open for pedestrians and cyclists.
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
Please allow extra travel time when planning your visit.

Birmingham Centre - Access update!

We’re pleased to share that works have been completed on the southern part of Catherine De Barnes Lane, meaning that visitors can now access via Catherine De Barnes Lane (coming from the South of the Centre) as well as via Shadowbrook Lane (from the East of the centre ).

There are still ongoing works on Catherine De Barnes Lane between the A45 and the centre, so diversions are still in place if you’re arriving via that route – there is diversion signage in place from the A45 exit.
