April came to BDH at the end of April (fitting, right?), and it didn’t take long for us to see what a sweet, loving girl she is—just a little shy. She clearly wanted to be close to her Canine Carers, but it took her a bit of time to feel safe enough to enjoy the fuss and cuddles she truly deserved.

Since she came to us as a stray, we didn’t know much about her past. But one thing was obvious—she loved being around other dogs. She especially enjoyed hanging out with the calmer ones who liked a gentle stroll around the paddocks rather than full-on zoomies.

Then in June, a lovely family came along looking for a Spaniel to welcome into their home—and April turned out to be just the one. After a gentle introduction and lots of love, she’s now settling in beautifully and getting used to all the comforts of family life.

Way to go, April! We’re so happy you’ve found your happy ending.
