Nearly a month ago, two Belgian Malinois were found tied up outside our Wolverhampton centre, underweight, terrified, and unsure of the world around them. The sight was heartbreaking, and we knew from the very start that their recovery would take time, patience, and a whole lot of compassion.

Since that day, our incredible team has worked tirelessly to help them rebuild trust. These dogs were extremely scared, and it has taken small, gentle steps each day to get them to where they are now. Our staff have sat quietly outside their kennel, softly talking to them, letting them know they were safe. Slowly, those moments of fear began to turn into flickers of hope.

With consistency, love, and time, the breakthrough moments started to come. A tail wag here, a curious sniff there, and eventually, we managed to take them out for a walk. The first stroke, the first sign of affection accepted, reminded us why we do what we do: to show dogs like Mia and Tia that not all humans are cruel.

We’re beyond proud of the progress these girls have made. Mia, the more confident of the two, is now ready to find her forever home! She’s blossomed into a lovely dog with so much potential. Tia is still taking things at her own pace, but she’s not far behind and will soon be ready to find a loving home of her own too.

We’re so proud of our team and their dedication. This kind of work can’t be rushed, but when the trust is built and the transformation begins, there’s nothing more rewarding.
