2 years old and 9 months Malinois

O’Malley arrived at our centre in 2022 after being found tied to a fence outside our Birmingham centre. After possibly spending a night scared and alone the Canine Carer team worked quickly to bring him inside to safety. As expected, O’Malley was extremely scared of humans and did not trust that we were there to help, his lead had to be cut off him to ensure he could go safely into the kennel. It took a few weeks for O’Malley to feel safe and secure in his new environment.

O’Malley settled well into the routine of kennel life and has come to love and trust the Canine Carers who look after him 365 days a year. Their patience and care have allowed O’Malley to come out of his shell and show them all what an incredible, intelligent dog he is.

Of course, the life he had before arriving at Birmingham Dogs Home has left him with some mental scars and behaviours that less experienced owners may find tricky to manage. This means he is looking for a very experienced home and family to be part of. The Canine Carers will continue to work with him to keep him entertained by learning new commands, having daily walks and playing out in the paddocks.
