Ace is a nervous boy who can be a little growly when he first meets new people but with time patience and space he soon comes around. He will need a few meets before you take him home. He can be very unsure of new people initially so he needs an experienced and patient home that understands nervous dogs and is willing to build a trusting relationship with him at his own pace.
Once Ace trusts you he is more than happy to accept treats and show you his softer side. He would benefit from continued basic training confidence building and further positive socialisation to help him become more comfortable and confident in new situations.
Ace is looking for a calm patient and experienced home where his boundaries will be respected and he can continue to grow in confidence. He needs someone who will not rush him and who understands that building his trust will take time consistency and patience. He would be best suited to a home with children aged 16 and over.
Ace cannot live with other dogs due to resource guarding behaviour in his previous home. He will need an owner who is prepared to give him the time understanding and patience he needs to settle in and feel secure. With the right person and environment Ace has the potential to form a lovely bond once he learns that he can trust you.
