Meet Bella!
Bella is a very sweet friendly and boisterous Beagle who loves people and is always excited to say hello. She greets you with a wagging tail and plenty of enthusiasm often jumping up when she first sees you. Bella is very motivated by human interaction and really enjoys spending time with her people.
Bella has lived with children and is a friendly girl who can be gentle when interacting with people. She enjoys being touched and handled all over and will soften and engage nicely with you when receiving attention. She knows some basic commands including sit and lie down and enjoys learning and engaging with her handler.
Typical of her breed Bella is a very vocal dog and is not afraid to make her feelings known. She can be extremely vocal when excited so this is something her future adopters will need to be prepared for. Anyone living in a flat rented property or close to neighbours will need to carefully consider whether Bella’s very vocal nature would be suitable for their environment. This will also need to be taken into account if she is likely to be left alone for periods of time.
Bella is also quite the escape artist and this is an important part of her needs. She can open doors and has previously managed to escape from a boarding facility. She is also capable of clearing a six-foot fence so her new home will need to have excellent security and her adopters will need to be particularly careful with doors gates and fencing. Bella is an adventurous girl who will take any opportunity she can to go exploring!
When out walking Bella generally walks well on the lead although she can pull forwards when something catches her attention. She walks better and is easier to manage when wearing a harness. She can become easily aroused and excited but with calm handling and positive interaction she can also settle and be gentle.
Bella enjoys playing with soft toys although her favourite thing is undoubtedly spending time with people. Her enthusiasm affection and larger-than-life personality make her a very entertaining companion and she will thrive with adopters who enjoy an active sociable and very characterful dog.
Bella is looking for a home where her vocal nature and impressive escape abilities can be properly managed. She will need people who are prepared for the realities of living with a very vocal Beagle and who can provide the security companionship and interaction she needs. In return Bella has plenty of affection fun and personality to offer and is sure to bring lots of life into her new home.
