Meet Kiara our beautiful 2-year-old Malinois looking for a loving and experienced home.
Kiara arrived in our centre as an energetic and lively girl with a lot of potential. Kiara has come a long way since then, but she still has a lot of work to do.
Although she can sometimes be nippy, Kiara is a very sweet girl with a soft side. She is capable of being very affectionate and enjoying human interaction, but she needs someone who is patient and willing to work with her on nipping, attention seeking behaviour.
Kiara does have food aggression issues, because she can be reactive with food she will need a confident experienced home. This means that she can’t live in a home with children.
She also has dog reactivity issues, which we need to work on with proper desensitisation and training. We may need to introduce her to a muzzle if her dog reactivity escalates but this will be explained to potential adopters.
Despite all this, Kiara is still a very promising dog. She needs someone who has a deep understanding of the Malinois breed and experience in dealing with reactive behaviour.
If you are up for the challenge and willing to invest time, effort, and patience into Kiara, then we believe that she can become an incredible dog. She has so much love and loyalty to give to the right family, we just need someone who understands her and can meet her needs.
