Meet Miso and Bao a very special bonded pair of Chow Chows who are looking for a home together.

The girls arrived at the centre as strays and were initially very unsure of the world. Both were dirty and frightened and it took plenty of patience and gentle care to earn their trust. We’re so proud of how far they have come and how much their personalities have started to shine.

Miso is the more independent of the two and loves exploring her surroundings especially investigating the bushes in our paddocks. She is friendly with people but prefers to keep some space and interact on her own terms. Bao is more reserved when she first meets you but once she feels comfortable she becomes a very affectionate girl who enjoys fuss and being groomed. She also loves soft toys although she does enjoy destroying them!

The girls are different in personality but they share a very special bond and we feel strongly that they need to stay together. Bao has become more confident when spending time independently but Miso remains an important part of her world and we would love to see them continue their journey side by side.

Both girls are still learning about the world and can pull on the lead although neither is particularly strong. Bao can be easily spooked by loud noises while Miso is happiest when she is given the freedom to explore. Their new family will need to be patient understanding and willing to let them settle at their own pace.

Chow Chow experience would be preferred and they would be best suited to children aged 10 and over who are calm dog-savvy and able to respect their space.

Bao and Miso have already been through so much together. Now they need a loving home where they can feel safe continue to build their confidence and most importantly never have to be without each other.
