Meet Nitro, a large crossbreed with a heart as big as his paws. Nitro is currently looking for his forever home.

Nitro is an incredibly friendly dog who loves to play fetch, especially with tennis balls. He is very strong and can get easily distracted, but his playful nature makes him a joy to be around. He is a bit shy and nervous when meeting people, so he will need a few introductions to get comfortable with his potential adopters.

Nitro is friendly, playful and excitable around other dogs. He may be able to live with another dog, but this will be following an initial meet and greet. We feel that Nitro would do best in a home with children aged 13 and older.

Nitro knows basic commands like sit and give paw. He has excellent bite inhibition and is very gentle when playing with toys. His favorite toys are tug toys and balls. He does need some training to learn not to jump up, and we have also started Halti training to help manage his strength and distractions.

Due to his nervousness with new people, Nitro will need multiple meets to build up a relationship with potential adopters.

If you are interested in adopting Nitro, please fill in an enquiry form below. You will then receive a questionnaire to complete. If your application is successful, we will then contact you regarding the next steps
