Rex is a Friendly boy who enjoys fuss and affection. He can be unsure of being handled at times and is a very sensitive boy. He can growl when he is unsure so he will need a patient and understanding owner who can give him time to build confidence.
He can be stiff around other dogs so gentle positive socialisation should be continued at his own pace. He also growled when a toy was thrown although he did not display any obvious resource guarding. He appears to sometimes be unsure how to react to certain situations and will need time to settle feel secure and become more comfortable in his new environment.
He also has ongoing eye and ear issues which appear to be related to genetic breed predispositions. Prospective owners should be aware that these may require ongoing veterinary care and associated costs.
