Meet Rexy, our resilient and affectionate American bulldog. This sweet girl has had quite the journey, arriving at our centre as a stray with a painful split tail. Despite our best efforts to treat her, Rexy’s tail didn’t heal properly, and she underwent a tail amputation in March. In addition, Rexy had a mass removed from her head, which was treated positive for a low grade Mast Cell Tumor (MCT). Thankfully, the tumour was completely excised with clear margins, and Rexy has recovered well.

Rexy is a friendly and loving companion who would thrive in a home environment. While she might be able to live with another dog, it will depend on their size and temperament, as her playful behaviour can be quite exuberant. Although she hasn’t shown much interest in toys in our care, this could change once she settles into a loving home.

This intelligent girl knows basic commands such as sit, lie down and responds to her name and recall in secure areas. Rexy is a bundle of energy and can be boisterous, especially when she is excited. She might bump into your legs and would benefit from some basic manners training to curb her enthusiasm.
