Family take on a walking challenge for our homeless dogs

At Birmingham Dogs Home, we’re all about tails wagging and hearts melting. And when we heard about the amazing efforts of Serai Anderson and her kids, Quinn, Alex-Rae, and Kristen, we couldn’t help but feel a whole lot of warmth.

It started with a simple idea – to help out dogs in need. Serai got in touch with us, saying her family wanted to do something special. So, they decided to lace up their sneakers and walk 10,000 steps every day for the whole of September 2023. Their goal? To raise some cash and spread the word about the good work we do here.

Their enthusiasm was infectious. With every step, they were not just pounding the pavement; they were spreading smiles and good vibes. And boy, did it pay off! Through their Just Giving page, they managed to collect an awesome £240 – all thanks to the kindness of folks who got behind their cause.

But it wasn’t just about the money. Their little adventure got people talking, got them thinking about how they could lend a paw too. And that’s what it’s all about, right? Making a difference, one wagging tail at a time.

“Making a difference, one wagging tail at a time”

Serai put it best when she said they just wanted to help out some furry friends. Well, mission accomplished! Your kindness and dedication have left pawprints on our hearts, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

So, to Serai, Quinn, Alex-Rae, Kristen, and everyone who pitched in – a big, slobbery thank you! Your generosity is what keeps our tails wagging and our spirits high. With your support, we’ll keep on doing what we do best – giving dogs the love and care they deserve.
