Hayden’s Heartwarming Fundraising Success for Birmingham Dogs Home

At Birmingham Dogs Home, we believe that kindness knows no age limits – and Hayden, an inspiring 8-year-old, proved this to be true with his incredible fundraising efforts.

Hayden’s heart was set on making a difference for our furry friends, and he wasted no time in springing into action. With creativity and determination beyond his years, Hayden organised a ‘Great Birmingham Bark Off’ fundraiser that captured the hearts of family and friends alike.

Through his bake sale, featuring delicious treats generously donated by Sutton Bakery, Aldi, and his family’s homemade delights, Hayden raised funds with each scrumptious bite. But he didn’t stop there – Hayden also organised a raffle, with a Body Shop Hamper up for grabs, along with a Pet Pawtrait raffle, featuring a stunning pet pawtrait donated by Kate Moore of K8’s Pawtraits.

Adding to the excitement, Hayden hosted a ‘Name the Teddy’ game, with a special prize – a Birmingham Dogs Home Healing Hearts ‘Hartley’ mascot toy, generously purchased by his mum, Karen, from our online store to support the Healing Hearts Appeal for the new Veterinary Clinic.

Hayden’s efforts paid off in a big way, raising over £500 for Birmingham Dogs Home. His dedication and generosity are a true testament to the impact that one person, regardless of age, can make in the lives of animals in need.

“Kieran’s passion for mountain climbing took him to new heights”

We are immensely grateful to Hayden, Karen, Sutton Bakery, Aldi, Kate Moore, and everyone who supported the ‘Great Birmingham Bark Off.’ Your kindness and compassion have touched our hearts and will make a lasting difference in the lives of the dogs in our care.

Hayden’s remarkable achievement serves as a reminder that no act of kindness is ever too small – and that together, we can create a brighter future for our furry friends. Thank you, Hayden, for your inspiring example and for embodying the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines Birmingham Dogs Home.
