Running for a Cause: Hayley’s Personal Best in Support of Birmingham Dogs Home

Hayley Ellis-Upton is not just a runner; she’s a force of nature with a heart of gold. When she laced up her trainers for the Wolverhampton 10K, she wasn’t just aiming for a personal best – she was running with a purpose, fuelled by a deep love for dogs in need.

And run she did – crossing the finish line in an impressive 53.57 minutes, a new personal best to be proud of. But Hayley’s journey was about more than just beating her own record; it was about making a difference in the lives of our four-legged friends at Birmingham Dogs Home.

Through her incredible efforts, Hayley managed to raise £130, proving that every step counts when it comes to supporting a cause you believe in. And while she may say it’s “not much,” we beg to differ. Every penny raised goes a long way in ensuring that our wonderful dogs receive the care and love they deserve.

But Hayley’s commitment to our cause goes beyond just raising funds. She’s been training alongside her faithful companion Luna, who has been by her side every step of the way. Luna isn’t just a running buddy; she’s the inspiration behind Hayley’s determination to make a difference.

“She’s a force of nature with a heart of gold”

Hayley’s dedication and passion are truly inspiring, reminding us all that we have the power to effect change, no matter how small our contributions may seem. And as she crosses the finish line, we’re reminded of the countless dogs whose lives will be touched by her kindness and generosity.

So, here’s to Hayley Ellis-Upton, a true champion for our furry friends. Thank you for running with purpose and for showing us all what it means to make a difference, one step at a time. With supporters like you, we know that the future is bright for Birmingham Dogs Home and the dogs we care for.
