How does it work?

May is National Walking Month, which is a great excuse to get out and get walking more with our canine friends in the fresh air.

Set your own personal goal or team goal if you want to take part with friends or colleagues for a daily walk.

Enter your daily steps onto our website and your steps will be added to everyone else’s and we will all travel around Britain and discover some lovely, picturesque walking routes along the way. We can have lots of fun together encourage everyone to share photos of your walks on our TTLT Facebook group.

By taking part in Birmingham Dogs Home’s Take the Lead Together walking challenge you will be helping us to continue to care for the homeless dogs across the Midlands. We really need your support and virtual events like this are a lifeline for our charity and allow us to keep tails wagging.

Our Take the lead Together challenge this year is centred around completing 31 walks from around the UK.

Our route starts in the West Midlands and takes in some of the most stunning areas of England, Scotland and Wales.

With this year being our 130th, the total distance of these 31 walks totals 130miles.

Our challenge to you, is to walk 130 miles in May to raise £130 pounds for Birmingham Dogs Home, so we can provide another 130 years of care to homeless and unwanted dogs.

Day 4 - Malvern Hills

Distance: 6.6km
Difficulty: Easy

The Hills and surrounding commons form part of the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The area is famed for its dramatic hills and for the pure spring water that flows from them.
