There are lots of ways you can help us to make their Christmas wishes come true for this year

Choose a Kennel to sponsor

We have ten kennels for you to choose from (each with their own personality, like our dogs!), five in our Birmingham centre and five in Wolverhampton centre.

A song to add to your Christmas playlist

With the help of National Gas Metering, we now have our own Christmas song for 2023 where every purchase and streaming will enable us to fill our dogs dishes this festive season.

Help us make a difference this Christmas by clicking on the link and adding it to your playlist.
It’s a song that literally helps with every play.

Remember A Loved One this Christmas

Add a photo and message In Memory of a Loved One on our Christmas Wishes to Fill Dishes online tribute page.

Shop with purpose

Purchase your festive (four-legged themed) Christmas cards, gift wrap and gift tags from us or treat yourself and your loved ones to some of our lovely Christmas gifts, including baubles, mugs, key rings, pin badges and lots of other lovely stocking fillers that help to do good.

You might wish for jewellery, a brand new phone…

But Christmas is simpler at Birmingham Dogs Home.

Because in truth, all we dogs wish,
Is for a festive dinner to fill our dish.
And with so many dogs, tiny and tall,
We need your help more than ever before.

So please, kind humans, throw us a bone
And here’s to Christmas at Birmingham Dogs Home.

Your kindness will help dogs like Shimmer

Shimmer, a young Cane Corso was abandoned in Solihull and was taken to a local veterinary clinic by the kind people who found her before being brought into our rescue centre. She was initially anxious and bewildered to find herself in our kennels, but she is now showing her fun loving personality and bonding with her carers. Shimmer loves playing with her toys – she is hoping for a few more from Santa this year and a family of her own!

Christmas Jumper Day

Friday 8th December is Birmingham Dogs Home’s Christmas Jumper Day, to celebrate the  International Day of Veterinary Medicine and recognising the amazing work our vet clinic staff do for all of our dogs.

An easy way to help raise money for us in your work place or school. Just ask your friends and colleagues to wear something festive (and maybe dog themed!) for the day and make a donation for BDH.
